Lake County Poets Society session of journalism show for the Society of Professional Journalists Convention in Chicago August 2006 with Janet Kuypers live 08/22/06
Janet Kuypers was scheduled as the final featured poet at the 2006 Chicago Poetry Fest show at the Society of Professional Journalists Convention at the Hilton in downtown Chicago 08/22/06. When everyone was asked to read writings that reflected on the Bill of Rights and the First Amendment (and Freedom of Speech), Janet Kuypers read the poems "People's Right Misunderstood", "Everything Was Alive And Dying," "True Happiness in the New Millennium," "The State of the Nation," and "Burn It In." In this practice session at the Lake County Poet's Society, Janet Kuypers read a very similar set of poems (though in this performance she read the poem "A Great American").
